Resurrection West,
Last Sunday we had so much fun supporting our teens after each service enjoying hot dogs, hamburgers, and breakfast sausages! Approximately 450-500 people enjoyed a meal and raised $2000 to offset the costs of summer missions. Thank you for supporting our teens. Rezlife student ministries counts on this cookout each year to help keep costs down as they go out in service every summer! While the cookout was happening, our middle school students packed over 250 meals for those in need during both the 9:30 & 11amSunday School hours - well done middle schoolers!
Sunday we celebrate moms, and all women, in worship! Dozens of photos were submitted this week to be shared in worship on Sunday as we give thanks to the women who shape, influence, and encourage our lives! We continue in the Birds & the Bees series as we zero in on ‘The Talk’. Pastor Adam has taken some time to ask people from our congregation to share their experience of both giving and hearing the talk. What we often find is that having this talk can be quite challenging. Join us as we consider how to discuss topics like relationships, intimacy and so much more. Get there early for worship at 8am, 9:30am, 11am, and 5pm as we begin with a great parody video celebrating mom!
Here are some upcoming opportunities to know, love, and serve God....
Finally, I want to thank my golfing partners from this past Monday’s Resurrection Classic. Over $20,000 was raised to help scholarship and support seminary students toward ordination as local church pastors. We do this every year and its always a fun time (and a true lesson in humility) out on the course! So thanks to Jack, Dennis, and Howard for carrying me through the day!
In Christ’s service,
Pastor Jason
