We've all heard the children's rhyme that "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." But as adults, we all know that words can and do hurt! It may be an off-hand comment from a co-worker or a pointed barb from a loved one, but words can do lasting damage. At the same time, words also have the power to give life. We can impact others and lift them up through what we say and how we relate to them. In our new series, "Words," we will discover some Godly truths about our words and how what we say and how we say it can improve all of the relationships in our lives.
Our next BBQ and Baptism is TOMORROW, August 27th at 11:45 am. It is going to be an amazing day celebrating our church community and the life change that's happening all around us! Don't miss it. Come to either the Sanctuary Service at 9:15 or the North Auditorium at 10:30 and then plan on sticking around after services for some free food and then our baptisms. See you there!
Several weeks ago many of you showed up in our auditorium to pack backpacks with supplies for kids in need. Well guess what? It made a huge difference! The money from Cannonball initiatives and your hard work went to a great cause. Look at this family win in Tijuana where those backpacks found a home! Cruise over to our facebook page for more pics and the full story.
