Pastoral Prayer Suggestion for our Wesleyan Holiness Methodist Nazarene Churches:
Holy God, We come before You in our worship services today in remembering Your Presence of the Past and even Now. We have a list of these names from our congregation and friends for physical, mental, and emotional healing with various diagnosis from cancer to heart to illness affecting the nervous system to mental. We ask you to either heal through the Medical Doctors insights to Medical Medicines to Divine Healing, but we pray for Your will to be done in each situation and person. We ask You most of all to give each person diagnosed and their family and friends a Peace from You that You are constantly with them through the good and bad of life including our medical diagnosis. We come to You with a very heavy heart concerning what is going on in our churches, nation, and other nations with the divisions between Your Human Creation. You, Lord, created us to first and foremost to love You with our whole being and doing then to love all other people as You love each of us with Your Unconditional Love. We realize that too often we, Your created People, have contributed to these divisions by our misinterpretation given to us from the Beginning of Creation to the Law given through Your Servant, Moses. Then, when You came in Human flesh, whom we know as Jesus, we did not listen to You and Practice what You taught us from the beginning and through the Words and Actions of Jesus. We understand that too often we write off these issues as political when they are Spiritual in nature stemming from our hearts and minds to our actions and words. We do not fully understand how to bring full reconciliation and inclusion to Your church that You established first as the Nation of Israel then as the church after Your Son's life in teachings and actions, suffering, death, resurrection, and ascension back to You sending Your Holy Spirit to call us to repentance and empowerment to live the Holy, Loving Lives You have created us to live in connection with You and all other People. We call upon You to allow us to constantly repent of our sins in the contribution of the divisions in the church, nation, and world sending us the Power of Your Holy Spirit in reconciliation with You and all others. We ask this in the Name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit praying constantly "Our Father who is in Heaven, Holy is Your Name, Your Kingdom come Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven, give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us, lead us not into temptation to sin, but deliver us from any and all evil words and actions, for You are the Power and Glory forever, Amen and Amen."
