I’m really excited for worship this Sunday! Chris and Lisa Holliday will team-preach a sermon entitled, What would Jesus say to the perfectly imperfect family? All kids and teens will be welcomed into worship from Kindergarten and up (nursery for Pre-K and under will be available at all four services). We will have activity books for kids and a children’s message in worship as well. Pastor Lisa Holliday serves at our Leawood campus as the pastor to children and their families. She recently gave an inspirational message at our WOW (Women of West) conference this past year. Pastor Chris serves as our care & missions pastor here at RezWest. They recently welcomed their first grandchild, so I’m sure they may have some pictures to share in Sunday’s message.
The Gant family will be sad to miss the Holliday’s message on Sunday as we embark on a road trip vacation to Florida. We will spending time visiting family and enjoying the beach. It will also be my privilege to lead a vow renewal ceremony for Scharme’s parents as as they celebrate 50 years of marriage!
Summer is here and our rezlife student ministries has many great activities planned for connection and growth of our 6th-12th graders including movie nights, cookouts, serve nights, a Royals game, water wars, and more. KiDSCOR Team Summer
June - August
Each summer, KiDSCOR gladly gives their school year volunteers (all 150 of them!) a break to recharge while Team Summer dives in. Youth and adults – you’re invited to help us show our Nursery – 5th grade kids how much God loves them! If you’ve thought about volunteering but weren’t quite ready – now is your time. There are a variety of opportunities to serve throughout the months of June, July and August. No previous experience is necessary – we’ll give you everything you need to know. RezWest Sports Camp Needs Volunteers!
RezWest Sports Camp Needs Volunteers! The Camp is from 8:30–11:30 am, June 11–15 at New Century Fieldhouse in Gardner, KS. You can volunteer all five days or individual days or sports. Monday and Tuesday are basketball; Wednesday and Thursday are soccer; and Friday is flag football and cheer. Click here to volunteer.
Upward Sports- Baseball
Come join the fun at Upward Baseball! Divisions range from age 4–6th grade. All games and practices are held at Field #1 at Two Trails Park, 127th & Ridgeview. Practices begin the first week of June. rezlife Summer Kick-Off Party
Come join the fun! RezWest campus, Wednesday, June 13, 6:30-8:30 pm. Celebrate the beginning of summer at the rezlife Summer Kick-Off Party. Current Middle and High School students, grades 6–12 (current school year) are welcome. We’ll enjoy grilled burgers and dogs, chips, cookies and drinks– it’s free. There’ll also be tailgating games, 9 Square in the Air and much more. We hope to see you there!
Parking Lot Attendants Needed!
There is an urgent need for parking lot attendants at the 11am Sunday worship service. Serve God by safely guiding in the many people who worship here every week. Consultants tell us the first 11 minutes is "key" for the guest experience. The parking ministry is the first to welcome our guests and this is so important!
