Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainsville, Florida for Friday, 14 February 2014 "As For Me and My House..."
Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served...But as for me and my household, we will serve The Lord. (Josh 24: 15).
Many of you have this last phrase somewhere on the front of your house. I love it! It's a powerful statement of your commitment to serve God, and to make your home a place where God is honored.
It also is a good summary for a life well lived - for a Joshua whose passion was to serve and love God all his days, and for his household to do the same. May we all live our days with this goal in our hearts and minds. Amen.
