Trinity United Methodist Church's Daily Scripture Email for Monday, 10 February 2014 "Joshua"
The Lord said to Joshua, "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. (Joshua 1:7).
I have very little to add, for God's words to Joshua are God's word to us: Be strong and very courageous! Whatever you are facing today/this week - big or little decisions, tiredness from time with your children, work challenges, health
challenges, life choices, whatever - be strong and very courageous.
Oh, and one other thing: keep God's word front and center; make it the solid foundation of all your decisions and choices and approaches. As Jesus said, it's the solid rock on which to build your lives Actually, He said that the hearing and DOING (i.e. obeying) of His words is like building your house on a solid rock.
