Kansas City, Missouri, United States - The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection Downtown enote from Reverend Scott Chrostek for Friday, 21 March 2014
Greetings RezDowntowners,
It’s a great day to be writing you as I am preparing to meet with about 70 lay leaders from across the country this afternoon at RezDowntown. Last night Justin Huey and David Simmons had an opportunity to lead worship for them at the Westin, this afternoon they are visiting our church to hear about how God is working through you and then on Sunday they will plan to join us in worship. This is just another reason to give thanks for all that you do to continue to impact the church all throughout this country. I would simply ask that you pray for me as I share your story of building Christian community in this city!
This weekend we are continuing our sermon series on the Gospel of the Nobodies. We’ll focus this week on Jesus and his power to cast out demons. This is sure to be a powerful weekend in worship. I hope you’ll make plans to invite friends and join us. If you haven’t checked out our Grand location for worship at 11:15am. This would be a great weekend to experience worship there as we spent a lot of time this weekend making improvements to our worship space!

I am so blessed to be a part of this community of faith and I am so excited to see where God leads us into the future this Lenten season. Regardless of where you are or what you're going through I'm excited to encounter God together in the wilderness as we journey closer and closer toward Easter in the Gospel of the Nobodies! Enjoy the weekend and I'll plan to see you in worship on Saturday and Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
Scott
