What I am about to share is intense and some will find it offensive. This needs to be said though.
Keep in mind that I am not making a blanket statement about all believers, but this is how I, a Jew perceive what is going on. I'm feeling it, and it is a dark spirit of deception and complacency that every year is once again self-injected into the body of Messiah. It is also sad that some Jews who have assimilated into Christianity (including those who have intermarried or come from parents where there was intermarriage) have accepted Christmas and Easter as something to do with Yeshua Messiah. Even worse would be when they go out as a Jew and Gentile "one in Messiah" as a married couple stating that Christmas is the birth of Yeshua Messiah and Easter is His day of resurrection. Two words: $ell out
Zechariah 23 states: “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
It seems to me that for almost a decade since I've been a follower of Yeshua Messiah, many Christians (not all) with their replacement theology, tucked away anti-semitism and pagan practices tend to reinterpret Zechariah 23 as stating: In those days Jews shall grasp the sleeve of a Gentile Christian man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you. We won't think for ourselves, realizing that we are greatly outnumbered by Gentile Christians who have a lot more money and power than we do and will settle for your pagan Christmas, Easter and all of your replacement theology doctrines. We are scared of you. Yes, you are right. His name is Jesus, not Yeshua. We'll leave all that "Jewish stuff" at the door, even though He is a Jew who happens to be The King of The Jews. We repent that your messiah happened to be a Jew. It wasn't our fault. God picked it that way. Please scold us Jews. We know we've been bad Jews, we killed the Jesus, and deserve to be your Jewish slaves like we were back in Egypt. Please mistreat us Christian Pharaohs for you are the light unto the Jewish people, greatly influenced by the even more powerful Catholic Pharaohs. They have taught you wisdom of their fathers and how you should deal with us unworthy Jews. Thank you for silently embracing Catholicism and calling it Christianity. Yes, we'll observe your religion. Sorry for being a Jew. It's not our fault. We hate being Jews. We want to be Christians like you. We are not worthy of being Gentiles, but are glad that you have led us into your fold. Yes, we'll intermarry and wipe ourselves clean of any evidence that we are a Jew, for in your eyes we are dirty Jews. We are ashamed of ourselves. As you say, we are now Christians since we believe in the Jesus and we are no longer Jews. Thank you so much for grafting us in. We are not worthy, but thank you. Yes, we will gladly take a ham and cheese sandwich even though it is not kosher. We know, "it's done away with". It's that Torah thing. The thorn in your side. We'll bury it if you want us to. We are sorry and did not mean to offend you chosen Christian Gentiles who are overseers of the saved Jews who need to be delivered of their generational curses. We will observe your Good Friday and Lent. Where should we tithe to your church as we empty out our pockets? Yes, you can have our "Jewish money". Whatever you want. We've been bad stiff-necked Jews and now salvation goes to you Gentiles. We're so very fortunate to now be included as part of your Christianity on your Sunday Sabbath. Please take us in. Yes! Yes! We'll take Christian communion and thank the Catholic church for teaching you all these "so called" Christian practices, which are Catholic! Yes, we'll marry Gentiles and promise to never ever be Jewish again. We apologize for that. We will raise our children as Christians and they will never know about their Jewish lineage - never again. And if we ever step out of line, rebuke us, for we are stubborn Jews who always seek for a sign and we're just grateful to be the dogs that eat from the scraps of your Christian plate."

You might say, "Wow, that's screwed up. Kinda dark."
My response, "No kidding. Try being the Jew in this situation. It's not good to say the least. In fact, it's worse than you think. Perhaps not all Jewish believers will agree with my sentiment, but I am sure that I'm not the only Jew who is a follower of Yeshua Messiah who feels this way.
Keep in mind, many unsaved Jews in this world also celebrate the pagan Christmas and Easter practices, although they are strongly opposed to Yeshua Messiah. This should tell you something and it's not that they are "one step closer to Christ". They are just one step further along adopting Gentile pagan practices thanks to...the church."
