Prayer Mobilization Line for Wednesday, 30 April 2014
Prayer Mobilization Line: The following are praise reports and prayer requests from Nazarene Missions International for Wednesday, 30 April 2014
"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint."(Jeremiah 31:25 NLT)
PRAISES:
Al Kessler
Thank you for your prayers for Al Kessler. While he did suffer a heart attack during a procedure recently, praise be to God, he is on the mend and went home from the hospital on April 22. Al’s wife, Sharon, says, “Words cannot express our appreciation for the love, prayer support, encouragement, emails, and contacts during this time.” Please keep Al in your prayers for a complete recovery. Sharon is the NMI president of the Mid-Atlantic District and director of the Fawn Grove Compassion Center.
PRAY FOR: GLOBAL MINISTRY REQUESTS
USA Tornadoes
Please be in prayer for the people whose lives have been torn apart by tornadoes that hit several areas of the U.S.A. this week. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) is assessing all situations and implementing a long-term response plan. To learn how you can help, click here. This link will also take you to the NCM April 28 press release which has information about Nazarene congregations directly impacted by the storms. Larry Bollinger, director of NCM says, “We’re asking for prayer for those who are experiencing grief and trauma. We also ask for prayer and support for local churches as they begin the steps of walking alongside community members on a path toward long-term recovery.”
Paris Congregations
The building where three Nazarene congregations met for worship in Paris, France, was sold recently. However, the congregations saw the sale of their church building as an opportunity to develop a new vision and take the Gospel to other parts of the city.  Pray for these congregations as they begin ministry in new areas of Paris. You can read the whole story in the NCN News article by clicking here.

Manuel Lima
Missionary Manuel Lima suffered a heart attack on April 22 while in Ecuador for a conference. He was hospitalized in the ICU but was well enough to be released on April 27. He is awaiting a doctor’s appointment on April 30 to see if he is ok to fly home. Pray that Manuel is healed enough to go home soon and continue the path to a full recovery. He and his wife, Lidia, serve in Brazil.
BEREAVEMENT
Family of Leonel Pulido
Leonel Pulido was accidently shot in the head at his place of employment last week. He was hospitalized and in a coma for several days until he passed away on April 28. His father is a Nazarene pastor in the Philippines. Pray for the Pulido family during this tragic time of loss and grief.
Family of Le Bon Balibanga
On April 19 Le Bon Balibanga passed away from typhoid. He was the 18-year-old son of Jacques Katambu Balibanga, the superintendent for the North Kivu District in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Please pray for the family during this time of grief. (Le Bon’s father, Jacques Balibanga, is one of the district superintendents we are praying for this week – see list above.)
Thank you for praying.
