Greetings RezDowntowners and Merry Christmas!
The Sanctuary is ready, the musicians are rehearsed, the candles are out and Christmas is all but here! I cannot believe it and I cannot wait at the same time. I have been longing with great anticipation to celebrate the night when Christ was born and I'm looking forward to celebrate with you!
Join us and Worship with us at Candlelight Christmas Eve starting tonight!
Consider yourself invited to come and share the light in our Candlelight Christmas Eve Worship Service filled with beautiful music and a message that reminds us of a night thousands of years ago — a night that continues to transform our world and our lives today. Please make plans to invite your friends, family and neighbors to share the joy of Christmas with us this year at any of our Christmas Eve services at Resurrection Downtown located at 1522 McGee:
Our Candlelight Christmas Eve Services are happening at the following times:
- Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 6:00pm (Holy Communion & childcare available)
- Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 4:00 pm and 6:00pm (childcare available)
All of our worship services will be family friendly, so please bring your children to worship with you and plan to arrive early. Stop by Connection Point with your children in the entryway to pick up a Christmas gift and KiDS COR activity packet. We also have childcare for all children 4 years and younger at all of our worship services.

Holiday Office Closings and Limited Hours:
- Dec. 24-26 - Rez Downtown Offices Closed
- Dec. 31 - Rez Downtown Office Hours, 9 am – noon at 1508 Grand
- Jan. 1-2 - Rez Downtown Offices Closed
Year-End Contributions and Deductions – To be deductible in 2014, contributions must be physically received at Resurrection or postmarked before Thursday, Jan. 1. You may mail your contribution to the church so it is postmarked on or before Wednesday, Dec. 31. Or you may place your check in the offering plate during December worship services, or deliver donations to Resurrection Downtown’s office at 1508 Grand by Wednesday, Dec. 31, (office open 9 am – noon). You may also donate online through Resurrection Access no later than 11:59 pm CDT, Tuesday, Dec. 30, or through PayPal no later than 11:59 pm CDT, Wednesday, Dec. 31.
I am so fortunate to be a part of this community and I am so proud to serve Christ with you in Kansas City. Thank you for all of your support and prayers and thank you for celebrating the night when Christ was born with us this week! Merry Christmas and God's Blessing Be upon you this holy season!.
