Next Generation Weekend
We have had some great Next Generation Sunday's the past few years. It's been so exciting that we decided to add an entire weekend of events.
Friday June 10 at 6:30pm we will have a movie night in the Ministry Mall. We'll view the movie Zootopia with all the classic movie snacks.
Saturday June 11 at 6:00pm we will have a concert featuring rapper Reece Nikelz.
Sunday June 12 at both 8:00am & 11:00am worship celebrations *We will have special shirts sold for this Sunday. Children & Youth shirts will be just $5. Adult shirts are $10 for shirts up to XL & $15 for sizes larger than that. You can purchase shirts online at http://www.stjamesumc.com/about/ministries/next-generation/.
Next Generation Day Retreat
We will spend the day in Branson, MO at the Sight & Sound Theater on Saturday July 23, 2016. We will travel by bus leaving at 10:00a stopping for lunch at Golden Corral in Branson, MO. This event will cost $25 for children 3-12 and $45 for 13 & up. Register for this and any other events at http://www.stjamesumc.com/about/ministries/next-generation/
Kidz Care Nursery Up & Running
We will begin operating the Kidz Care nursery with dedicated time every weekon Sunday and Wednesday. We still desire committed volunteers to assist in the Nursery once a quarter. The Nursery will officially open on May 15 during both 8 & 11 am worship celebrations and Wednesday evening's at from 6:45 to 8:00. The Nursery is open to children ages 1-4.
Kidz Connect
Our children are invited to participate in a weekly worship experience designed just for them. We call it Kidz Connect and we offer live praise & worship, offering, communion and hands on activities that connect to our focus scripture. Kidz Connect is open to children ages 5-10 everySunday during the 11am worship celebration.
Adventure Camp
You might be familiar with Vacation Bible School, and we have grown it into a dynamic 3 days of adventure. So we now refer to it as Adventure Camp. Drawing on the scripture from Acts 28:17 "For in Him we live and move and have our being". June 23-25from 6:00-8:00pm kids ages 5-11 can expect an unbelievable time with music, arts, science and more.
Volunteer Draft
Have you ever considered helping out our children's ministry? Are you worried about committing to something long-term? During the Volunteer Draft we'll provide orientation, training and give assignments for special events or regular activities. For more details you can contact us atyouth@stjamesumc.com or show up during the draft on Saturday May 21st between 10:00-12:00.
R.A.G.E. - THE RETURN
RAGE is coming back this summer. Come to youth group and be a part of the group. Beginning Wednesday May 18thstudents 11-18 years of age are welcome. Food & homework from 6-7,7:05 - Praise & Worship, 7:30 Group Time.
Service Day Schedule
We have days of outreach planned for the 3rd Saturday of each month. Those days are July 16th, August 20th, September 17th, October 15th and November 19th. Students can register for each Day of Service through the Next Generation webpage. It will have specific details of each event as well. Next Generation Kick Ball
Join us for an exciting game of Kick Ball. OnSaturday July 2 we invite the entire family to come out and share in a game of Kick Ball. We'll have lunch right after, hotdogs & chips.
