Saturday, 6/25/2016 "Be Thou My Vision" (ELW 793, Verse 1) Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that thou art: thou my best thought both by day and by night, waking or sleeping, thy presence my light. I am mindful of being newly in love, unable to grasp that the man before me had chosen me as his own and loved me for me. Can we take a moment to simply dwell in the wonder of what it is to be God's beloved? Imagine it. You are God's deeply beloved and dearly held; celebrated and yearned for. Can we even breathe at the thought of it? Can we celebrate God as our own beloved and keep God at the forefront of our vision in each waking moment? God of the universe! How can it be that you count us beloved? How can it be that I am your own? Open my eyes to behold the wonder. Make each day of my life a celebration with you as the guest, host and reason of your love. Amen. Chris Bellefeuille Pastor, Valley of Peace Lutheran Church, Golden Valley, Minn.
