Weekly eNote from Pastor Jason Gant for Friday, 24 March 2017 from The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection West in Olathe, Kansas, United States
Resurrection West,
Its so good to be back with you this Sunday after a being away. My family and I spent some Sabbath time together camping over spring break and my hope is that you also schedule time together with God and your loved ones regularly. My family and i are very grateful for the time. This Sunday I’m excited to preach live as we continue the Garden series with a look at the Old Testament understanding of the Promised Land. God promised the Israelites a land flowing with milk and honey. How do you imagine this for us community? What would it look like to bring the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth? This is something I think we’re all interested in, since almost fifty of you have already commented on my Facebook survey question about it. Feel free to add you opinions and ideas by clicking here. We will grow together this Sunday as we look toward God’s vision and promises! Plan to be there now and reach out to invite someone who need to experience the promises God offers!
The “Way of the Cross” prayer walk is now open! The trail is approximately a mile around our property here at West and includes 15 stations to pause, read scripture, reflect, and pray. Thanks to the volunteers who mulched the trail, developed clear signage, and also to our communications team that developed a user-friendly web page to guide you as you walk. You will find short devotions and prayers to help you connect with the life and of Christ this Lent. Come and walk it anytime! You can access the prayer guide at cor.org/west/prayerwalk
Below are some upcoming opportunities to know, love, and serve God.

Finally, we wanted to share about our new student lounge space in the lower level, just off the elementary check-in area. This is a space for our middle schoolers to connect and build community each Sunday morning at the beginning of 9:30am & 11am Sunday School, as well as Wednesday night middle school and high school Youth Groups. Rick had the vision for this space and Lindsay added her decorative touch to make a really cool space for our teens. We’ve added a couple of pics on our facebook page here, so stop by and check it out this Sunday!
Looking forward to being back in worship with you this Sunday,
Pastor Jason
