Congressional Stories of Family Caregiving
The National Alliance for Caregiving is proud to support a Capitol Hill briefing on Congressional Stories of Family Caregiving, in partnership with the Gerontological Society of America, AARP, the Alzheimer's Association, and the John A. Hartford Foundation.
Like the majority of family caregivers across the United States, senators and representatives juggle the demands of family life, work, and caregiving.
This lunch briefing will highlight caregiving stories, including those of congressional members, in an effort to raise awareness of the need for action to support and assist family caregivers.
We invite you to join us November 7, 2017, from 11:45 am-1:15 pm for "Congressional Stories of Family Caregiving." This program will call attention to the challenges that family caregivers face, and the recommendations set forth by The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine "Families Caring for an Aging America" report for building a national strategy to address these issues effectively.
Find more information here or contact Brian Lindberg, The Gerontological Society of America's public policy advisor, at brian@consumers.org for more information.
