FINDING JOY IN JOYLESS CIRCUMSTANCES...
The holidays are coming! For some of us that sentiment fills us with stress of the demands, the cost and the expectation of making the season magical. All of these can add up to suck the joy right out of us. But that’s not the story God is calling us to. There is a better way, not just to survive this time of year, but to thrive in it! Join us as we invite God to lead the way as we walk through the holiday season and to help us “know joy” along the way.
On Sunday Night, November 26 from 6-7pm we're going to celebrate the days leading up to Christmas in preparation for what is commonly called the “Advent Season” with Torrey Pines Church. We will sing Christmas carols, hang live evergreen wreaths in the sanctuary, and turn our anticipation and attention towards Christmas.
It will be a fun hour for the whole family and a great way to officially kick-off the Christmas season.
Potluck of finger foods and desserts will follow. So bring a munchie to share and come celebrate with us!
If you went to our Church 101 membership class, then Church 201 is the next step in our spiritual growth process at Torrey Pines. We'll be meeting immediately following the auditorium service at about noon. Lunch and childcare are provided. The class lasts 1 hour.
