Visit cor.org/downtown/serve for more details, or email PastorPatrick@cor.org with your questions!
40s and Up Study with Kelly Sisney
Tonight at 6:30pm, join others as we discuss the book by Andy Stanley called “How Good is Good Enough?” Come discuss why Jesus taught that goodness is not even a requirement to enter heaven, and why Christianity is beyond fair. Explore what’s wrong with the most popular theory about heaven—and what it really takes to get there. The first 30 people to register will receive the booklet! (However, no book is needed for the class.) Register online at cor.org/downtown/getconnected. For questions, contact Kelly.Sisney@cor.org.

RezMoms April 28
Please join us for a meeting focused on caring for ourselves as mothers! So often, we put self-care on the back burner and focus only on those around us! It is important for us to consider both our physical and mental health. So, we will gather to do a relaxing yoga session, share treats and discuss ways we can be better in treating ourselves with kindness! Hope you can join us! Friends are always welcome. We will meet in the coffee shop from 9-11am. Questions? Please contact Kristen Sayers at klynsayers@gmail.com. Reach out to Sarah.Brischle@cor.org to let her know if you will need childcare!
RezDads April 28
Meet at 1522 McGee at 9 am, drop off your kiddos, and head to Messenger Coffee for a time of fellowship and discussion with other RezDads. Email Sarah.Brischle@cor.org to let her know if you'll be dropping off your little ones, or reach out to Clay.Smith10@gmail.com with questions!
Matthew’s Ministry Family Day Out (attendees & volunteers needed)
Individuals of all ages with special needs and their siblings are invited to a fun-filled day of crafts, activities and fellowship while parents and caregivers take an afternoon for themselves. Sunday, April 29, from 1- 4 pm at 1522 McGee. Please register so that we may plan accordingly for snacks and volunteers. This event is open to the community; you do not need to be a member of the church to participate. For questions, registration or to volunteer, contact Hannah.Murray@cor.org. By volunteering our time, we can allow more families to benefit from this terrific ministry!
Caregivers Group Book Study
Are you a caregiver for a family member or friend? Join our Caregivers’ Group and find support in prayer and a network of others who can relate. This group is open to anyone, Resurrection attendee or not. If you have any questions, please contact Kris Drummond at kdrummond6@gmail.com.
Spread the Word Through Cookies!
On each First Friday during the summer, we hand out hundreds of cookies to folks enjoying the Crossroads Art District. We are doubling our cookie order for Friday, May 4, as we want to make sure we share the news of our Grand Opening of 1601 Grand! Would you be willing to show up at 1522 McGee at 6:30 pm, grab a bag of cookies and head out to simply give cookies away?...No explanation or sales pitch needed. The cookie packaging will have our Grand Opening info! If you are able to be a “cookie greeter” please let Kelly.Sisney@cor.org know and she will send you a reminder as we get closer to May 4! (Also, we will be doing this again on June 1, the day before our opening!)
You and #MeToo: A Discussion
Join us May 7, 6:30 pm, in the 1522 McGee sanctuary, for a discussion on how we can grow as faith-filled community leaders in bringing about mutual respect in our communities. Led by Teri Classick, LCSW, and by RezDT counseling intern, Aurora Molitoris, MPH, this discussion will focus on how to add kindness to a culture of sexual harassment. Please note that this is not a processing or therapy group for survivors of abuse, but a place where all genders and ages are welcome for a discussion on possible solutions, following Pastor Adam's sermon on #MeToo, the weekend of May 5-6. Bring your own dinner, drinks and dessert will be provided. Please register at cor.org/downtown/getconnected. Contact aurora.molitoris@cor.org with questions.
