"Wide Awake" by Pastor H. Lamar SmithIt is not always easy to get wide awake to begin our day. Likewise, we have a responsibility to get ourselves awake to the spiritual realities of the resurrected Messiah. “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you” Ephesians 5:14b. Our sleep can be deadly. We can live our lives not fully awake to the Risen Christ. To be awake is to be consciously aware of the power of the resurrection changing our world from night to day, so that we can run through the building calling all sleepers to arise to the reality of the resurrection.
