The fear of uncertainty causes us to run. Causes us to run fast. We run to places we think will bring comfort. We run to where the pain can be dulled, at least for a while.
God has a different prescription for uncertainty. In Psalm 27:14 we read, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD."
Instead of running, God tells us to stay put. He calls us to wait for the confidence. When we feel like bolting, He says, "Be strong." When our courage is melting like hot wax, He says, "Take heart."
Our waiting is not to give God time to determine His plan of action. He knows exactly what He's going to do. He's just waiting for us to wait on Him.
