Gateway Church Family,
This past Saturday night at our 520 service, Gary Baldwin shared his testimony. Gary is a new believer. He just accepted Christ about one year ago and was baptized last fall. He did an amazing job talking about the incredible impact that the Gospel of Jesus Christ had on his life. He shared who he was before Christ and who he is now about a year after accepting Christ. After Gary finished sharing, so many people told me how moved they were by his story.
A few days have passed now since Gary finished sharing and I am reminded of something so true as I prepare this piece. The reminder is this, we all have a story! We all have a story about who we were before Christ and who we are after encountering Christ. We all have a story on how we have been impacted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some of us have stories of freedom, some of us have stories of hope, some of have stories of reconciliation, etc. We all may have different stories but God of all creation is in each of our stories.
Jesus says in Acts 1:8 that we will be His witnesses to the world. A witness just shares everything they have seen and everything they have heard. I wonder who are you sharing your story with? Who are you sharing with about how the Gospel has transformed your life. I believe that when Jesus said that we will be His witnesses, that He was saying that we are to share our stories. Your story need to be told to a world that is longing for truth.
I want to challenge you today to share your story with at least one person this week. Share about who you were before Christ and who you have become after encountering Christ! We all have a story. Let’s all together share our stories with the world that needs the Gospel!
I hope you have a great week!
God bless!
