You aren’t the only one who has wondered about some of these questions. Does God exist? If he does, why is there so much suffering in the world? Is there any way to reconcile faith and science? For six weeks, we’re asking these and other big questions as we dive into our new series, “The Problem of God”. Join us as we wrestle with the big questions of life and faith, and know that you don’t have to check your brain at the door. It's a great series to invite a friend! The Problem of God begins next weekend!
We throw a party around twice a year to get together as a church family and celebrate the big wins we've seen in our church, dream about the future, and let you in on what's next for us. This event is called EastLake In and is for our key leaders, volunteers, and anybody who calls EastLake Church home. (So that's you. What we're saying is that you're invited.) Mark your calendars for August 5th at 6pm for EastLake In. We will laugh, celebrate, pray, and dream together, so don't miss it!
Ladies! Grab your friends and mark your calendars because our annual Women's Event is coming August 10th! The party starts at 5:30 with food trucks and time to hang out together. Our main event starts at 7pm with a service that will inspire and encourage you. Plan on hanging out afterwards for the after party...desserts, dancing...um, yes please!

Venice Baptisms
Last weekend Venice Church celebrated baptisms at the beach! Pastor Mark said there was a "bit of an offshore break" (that's Hawaii-speak for "big waves"), but it didn't disrupt the party at all. Congrats to all those who took the plunge and to everyone who gives to Cannonball and helps make these celebrations happen. EastLake Church Beach Baptism is coming up August 26th. #jumpinmakewaves
