Resurrection West,
What an exciting day in worship we had together last Sunday. Thanks to our Worship Arts team who put it all together. This Sunday will be very special as we celebrate faith growth happening in our rezlife west student ministries. God is moving in amazing ways and our teens will lead in every aspect of worship, including the message!We now have hundreds of teens involved in rezlife west Wednesday Youth Groups, Sunday School, Summer Serve Trips, Summer Camp, Retreats, and more. You will surely be inspired as we hear and see how God is moving in our ministry to students and their families!
Finally, I am excited to share that our building feasibility team has completed its work and we are ready to begin a new West Campus Building Committee right away. They have been working on questions like; What can we do about our traffic back-ups at peak service times? How can we add more seats into the Sanctuary? What about our need to have space to share meals, kid's sports, and build Christian community for every age and stage? Mark your calendars now for a Church Conference on August 21st, 7-8pm at RezWest. We need everyone there for what will surely be an historic night. Childcare will be available as our Senior Pastor, Adam Hamilton, presides over the conference. We will cast vision, hear from the feasibility study team, and install a building committee to begin its work right away. Coming up on Sunday August 5th and August 12th you will have an opportunity to pick up an application for the building committee if you are interested in serving. I’ll have more to share on August 5th as we embark on an exciting journey ahead expanding God’s mission and ministry at Resurrection West.

MOVIE NIGHT AT REZWEST– Tomorrow Night!
Friday, July 27, 6:30-8:30 pm. Come enjoy a free movie in the sanctuary at RezWest! We’ll be watching The Greatest Showman. Feel free to bring a comfortable lawn chair or blanket and snacks to share. Complimentary popcorn and drinks will be provided. All are welcome! Please note, this event does not include childcare.
Summer Worship & Lake Baptism
Sunday, Aug. 5, 6 pm. Join us at Shawnee Mission Park Beach to share in a moving baptism service together. If you or members of your family are ready to receive baptism, pre-register at cor.org/west/care/baptisms, enter ‘August 5 lake baptism’ on the form. Hope to see you there – invite a friend for this memorable service!
MEGA MISSION: Bless the Schools
Saturday, August 4, 9 am–1:30 pm. Meet at 9 am in the Resurrection West Sanctuary for prayer, project sign-ups, final instructions, coffee and breakfast snacks. Then, we’ll pack up the supplies and travel to Ridgeview Elementary and Fairview Elementary to sort and organize school supplies, prepare classrooms, make crafts to welcome and support teachers, write encouraging notes to students and maintenance/beautify the grounds. Please bring gardening gloves, yard tools, rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows if you have them. About 11:30 am, we’ll host and enjoy a Celebration Picnic alongside the students and families of the Ridgeview community complete with water play and fun for all ages! We should be all done and cleaned up by 1:30 pm. No sign-ups are necessary. Just come out and serve. Also, feel free to wear any year’s MEGA MISSION t-shirt (extras will be available). Women of West (WOW), Blessed Grace Conference
Make plans now to attend the 2nd Annual WOW Conference, August 24, from 6-10 pm! The conference will be hosted by Resurrection West in Olathe, KS. Registration is $45 per person and includes a t-shirt for those who register by July 31. Worship will be led by Jennifer Buehler, and the keynote speaker will be Pastor Penny Ellwood of Resurrection Blue Springs. Register online at cor.org/west/signup. Come and be WOWed!
