This Sunday, Pastor Estep will be preaching over Acts 2:1-13 After the offertory, children in grades 1-4 will be invited to a time of Children's Worship with Audrey Landers, studying the same passage.
No evening service.

News & Events
Summer of Discovery
Kids in grades K-6 are invited to a Summer of Discovery, beginning this Wednesday, May 27! Every Wednesday night from 6:30pm-7:30pm, our kids will explore and discover different gifts and talents, as led by some of our very gifted church members. Topics include: arts, sciences, games, languages, woodworking, and music! Contact Margie Schwarz for more information!
Watercolor Classes
Another session of Tuesday evening watercolor classes led by Robert Maurus will begin on June 2 at 6pm. The class will meet for 5 weeks in the Southside Room--all levels of skill are welcome! There will be a one-time fee of $15 to cover supplies. Contact Robert at 816.659.4945.
Theology for Everyone
Dr. Tom Noble will be presenting "The Gospel and the Creed: An Examination of the Gospel" on June 6 at 8am at Christ Church Anglican in Overland Park, KS. He will be examining the how the Gospel message emerged in the worship of the early church, how the Gospel is particularly proclaimed in the sacrament of baptism, and how it flows into the various creeds, eventually reaching authoritative form in the Nicene Creed. This event is limited to the first 150 registrations. Admission is $25 and includes breakfast. Go to www.christchurch-op.org for more information.
Nepal Response
In response to the recent earthquakes that have struck Nepal, Nazarene Compassionate Ministries is partnering with the local church in Nepal to meet the most critical short-term needs of families in need: water, food, and shelter. We have the opportunity to join with our brothers and sisters around the world in praying for grieving families, for vulnerable children and families, for those responding to the disaster, and for our church leaders and members in Nepal. If you would also like to give monetarily to the relief effort, please visit www.nazarene.org or click on the link on the homepage of our website: kcfc.org
Women's Activities
Emily Neeld has agreed to help plan & coordinate some of our women's activities. She is also forming a new women's activities committee, which will be in place to offer support and new ideas, while building community and relationships among the women of our congregation. If you are a lady of any age, please stop by the table in the foyer to fill our a short interest sheet. Also, if you are leading a current activity that could be supported by this committee, please let Emily know ateneeld@att.net.

Ultimate Frisbee Tournament
Our church will be hosting a district-wide ultimate frisbee tournament on
Saturday, May 23, from 10am-3pm. Cost is $40/team (7 players per
team). This tournament is open to all--expect a
high level of competition.

GriefShare
Are you or someone you know experiencing grief after the death of a loved one? Help is available! Our church offers 2 weekly sessions of GriefShare: a men's only group on Wednesday nights and a session open to all on Saturday mornings.
Sessions are comprised of video seminars, workbook exercises, and small group discussion. This Bible-based, Christ-centered group is open to all KCFC attenders, and the Kansas City community.
