Greetings Resurrection Blue Springs,
It's a beautiful spring Friday and I'm looking forward to getting into the dirt with my gardening tools today. I love this time of year! It's been a good week for our church. Saturday we had 45 participate in our first Mega Faithwork despite the soggy weather. Sunday after worship we hosted a large group for our Pizza With the Pastor. I’m excited to welcome 19 adults and 9 children as new members this weekend in worship! I saw a picture of our women's outing at Genevieve's on Tuesday, which looked like lots of fun. On Wednesday, we had a great discussion in our Covenant Bible Study about what it means to be a household of faith, while next door another group was learning more about how to enrich their prayer life. I treasure these times of growing in faith together.
Sunday, we’ll be concluding our sermon series on Why?, and we’ll have a special giveaway for everyone in attendance. This Sunday you will be able to download a free electronic copy of Pastor Adam Hamilton’s book Why? Making Sense of God's Will. We’ll give you the code and instructions on how to do this in worship, and for those of you who would like to share this book with friends, you will have the opportunity to purchase copies of the book this weekend only for a special discounted cost of $5 per book (cash, check or credit card). I keep a stack of this book on hand to give to those I encounter who are going through a difficult time and wrestling with the "Why?" questions. The content can be a lifeline for those struggling. In the final message of this series, we'll explore our relationship with God through the resurrection of Jesus. I encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors to join us.
In the meantime, take a look at what's coming up:
