Your impact in Haiti from Sheila Davis, Partners In Health in Boston, Massachusetts, United States for Tuesday, 1 November 2016
I'm writing to say thank you.
Nearly one month ago, Hurricane Matthew slammed Haiti's southern peninsula, killing more than 1,000 people and leaving a trail of shocking destruction.
But this fall, 35,346 members of this community have come together to stand with Haiti.
Thanks to you, PIH now supports the only functional public hospital in Les Cayes, Haiti—serving 1.3 million people in the hurricane-battered south.
For the first time in months, this building has electricity for up to 20 hours a day. The staff has been paid. Shelves are stocked with medicines and supplies. Cholera treatment is available for those most in need.
And families are receiving much-needed health care whether or not they can pay.
But all across Haiti, my PIH colleagues treat families who are starving, battling deadly cholera, and in desperate need of health care.
Will you join Paul's Partners and support this lifesaving work with a monthly gift today?
In solidarity,
Sheila
