"God Upholds Everyone" by Edith Miller
Psalm 145:13 Your kingship is an everlasting kingship,
your reign continues through all generations.
14 Adonai supports all who fall
and lifts up all who are bent over.
15 The eyes of all are looking to you;
you give them their food at the right time.
16 You open your hand
and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 Adonai is righteous in all his ways,
full of grace in all he does.
18 Adonai is close to all who call on him,
to all who sincerely call on him.
19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
20 Adonai protects all who love him,
but all the wicked he destroys.
21 My mouth will proclaim the praise of Adonai;
all people will bless his holy name forever and ever.

Our merciful God upholds those who fall. He sees them stumble, fall short, fail miserably, and, out of compassion, raises them up. God, whose dominion lasts through generation after generation and whose kingdom continues forever, stands ready to lift the fallen and bruised.
Moreover, He is trustworthy; in His promises, He is faithful. He is righteous. He is near to the ones who call on Him in truth. He hears their cry and fulfills the desires of those who fear Him. Praise, praise, to Him!
Those who love the Lord God–this One who cares deeply for His human creations–cannot help but praise Him. He is beyond imagination and beyond understanding. His love, His mercy, His grace, and His compassion boggle the mind. Finite minds struggle to adequately thank and praise God for who He is and how He changes lives.
Still, the Scriptures advise us to praise Him, to live a life of praise and thanksgiving. May this be a calling in lives of believers everywhere. In good times and in difficult times, may we carry love and gratitude for our Father God, who raises the fallen. May this be borne out daily in praise and thanksgiving to Him.

Hymn for Today: "Praise Him! Praise Him!" by Fanny Crosby
1. Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory,
strength and honor give to His holy name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children;
in His arms He carries them all day long:
Refrain:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
2. Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
For our sins, He suffered and bled and died;
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
love unbounded, wonderful, deep, and strong:
Refrain:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
3. Praise Him! praise Him! Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Heavenly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever;
crown Him! crown Him! prophet and priest and King!
Christ is coming, over the world victorious,
power and glory unto the Lord belong:
Refrain:
Praise Him! praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness!
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!

Thought for Today: Isaiah 30:18 Yet Adonai is just waiting to show you favor,
he will have pity on you from on high;
for Adonai is a God of justice;
happy are all who wait for him!
