Hundreds of Israelis came to our center last week for Wednesday, 1 March 2017 with David Brickner of Jews for Jesus in San Francisco, California, United States
Shalom,
With all the emails you get, I’m especially thankful that you’ve opened this one so that I can share with you what God is doing in Jews for Jesus.
Before I tell you the good news, it’s my duty to alert you to the rising tide of anti-Semitism which you can read about here. But God is still on His throne! I hope you’ll enjoy hearing examples about that in this month’s video update. The video asks you to check out the RealTime story about the Israelis who flocked to our Moishe Rosen Center for a special event last week. So here’s the story, in case you see the video first.
Every year we send teams to India to meet up with Israeli travelers, many of whom are spiritually seeking. We’ve been able to have so many gospel conversations that way.
“India Through the Eyes of the Traveler” has become an annual event to reconnect with Israelis we’ve met once they are back in Israel. This year, more than 600 attended the event—more than twice as many as last year!
Shoshana, one of our main planners for the event said, “I had a long conversation with a woman who was deeply seeking. I shared our faith in Jesus, and we had a good time getting to know each other. She said, ‘This is a very special place; I can feel it.’ Soon after, one of the artists commented to me that he really appreciates our faith, and that the love we show is a shining example to him.”
Danielle, one of our newest staff, spoke with Max, who knew other believers from Jerusalem, and he asked lots of questions about her relationship with God. Then Yoav, who heard the gospel when he met one of our teams in India a couple of years ago, stopped to talk with her—for half an hour. Yoav had been in New Zealand and met many Christians there, so he was even more open to the gospel than when we first met him.
Our team had one conversation after another with unbelieving Israelis throughout the event. People enjoyed seeing more than 100 photos taken by Israelis who have visited India, but more than that, they got to see what it means to have faith in Jesus, the Messiah.
Maybe you wish you could share your faith with Jewish people you know, but you just don’t where to start or how to address objections they may raise. We actually offer a special course in Jewish evangelism at Moody Bible Institute and we’re accepting applications for this summer right now!
If you can’t take a two-week course but you can make a gift at this time just know that you’ll be helping us continue to reach more Jewish people for Jesus not only in Israel, but all over the world.
May the joy of the Lord be your strength as you serve Him.
Your Jewish brother in Jesus,
David Brickner
