Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in union with the Lord always! I will say it again: rejoice! 5 Let everyone see how reasonable and gentle you are. The Lord is near! 6 Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. 7 Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua. 8 In conclusion, brothers, focus your thoughts on what is true, noble, righteous, pure, lovable or admirable, on some virtue or on something praiseworthy. 9 Keep doing what you have learned and received from me, what you have heard and seen me doing; then the God who gives shalom will be with you.

I am a person who likes peace. I want to have a time of peace every day when I can study the Bible and pray. I also like to keep peace among my family and friends.
But sometimes I become so busy trying to make peace that I forget to let God guide me. I try to solve people's problems with my own ideas instead of depending upon God and His Word to help me.
In our Bible verses for today, Paul tells us how to help make peace. "Don't worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have. And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God's peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds" (verses 6-7).
Don't get caught up in people's ideas and opinions about peace today. Instead, focus on God's words. He will protect you and fill you with His peace.
"I pray that God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit." [Romans 15:13]
PRAYER: Father, thank You for giving me Your peace. In Jesus' name. Amen.
