Date: Friday, 7 September 2018 Gateway Church Family,Potluck “save the date” – Get out your writing instrument and your calendar and write down our next 5th Sunday All Church Potluck event on September 30th. The eating begins promptly at 12:30 PM. See this Sunday’s bulletin for all the delicious details. Oh, and by the way, I will be bringing my family’s super-secret Italian dish which I will provide you personally if you ask me personally.
THE HYMN SING – Don’t you dare forget that next Friday, September 14th is the renowned Gateway hymn sing. Anyone who might like to be a part of the A Cappella (without instruments for those of you from Rio Linda) choir for Friday night should plan to meet at 5:30 to 6:00 pm Sunday Night 9/9 for practice. Our very own Linda Wallace (who often sings sorta good) has a great evening planned for us. These Hymn Sing nights are better than clubbing on a Friday night and they bring back so many heart-felt memories.
Alabaster Sunday – This Sunday is our Alabaster Sunday so bring your little boxes and put them in the BIG box at the altar this Sunday. I don’t need to tell you how important this is to our church’s mission efforts so I’m not going to. Just don’t forget to bring your offering (with or without the little box) this Sunday. Go put it in your car right now.
Membership Class (A Few Openings for New Members are still available)– Hey y’all, we are still waiting for you to get your names into the office to sign up for membership class. It’s important! You get to vote in the upcoming elections, you get a key to the executive restroom, you get better looking, you can also become an under-boss and much-much more. Besides, we love you so much we want to make it official.
Return and RESET – Hey I am restarting the E-News “Want Ads” and “Bulletin Board” next week, so look for how you can help your church (Want Ads) or how you can help yourself (Bulletin Board). Send your wants, needs and alcohol-free champagne wishes to me at gspinozzi@gatewaynaz.org. I will be letting you know how you might help YOUR church by supplying an item and idea or simply a bit of your somewhat valuable time. Now that's a win-win if you fancy that.
