January 2014 “Joseph, One of the Great Stories of our Faith”
But while Joseph was there in prison, The Lord was with him; he
showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden (Genesis
39: 20, 21).
I love the story of Joseph, don't you? For it's our story, too. And here's its good news: Through all the ups and downs of life,
through all the peaks and valleys, God is with us, showing us kindness and favor. It is the quintessential story of God's PROVIDENTIAL
care for us. No matter what you and I go
through, God is there! Whether the pit of despair or the prison of injustice
and misunderstanding, God is there, seeing us through! Oh my, where oh where would we be without the
abiding presence of God, the God who is with us always, even to the ends of the
earth!
God is with you! You can
overcome any obstacle set before you this day or any day! Amen.
