2014 “God's Solution: Persons of Faith”
The Lord said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people
and your father's household and go to the land where I will show you... So Abram
left, as The Lord had told him (Gen. 12:1, 4).
Abraham (his name was changed) believed God and did what God
asked.
That's what faith is; believing to the point of acting;
trusting, or as the old song goes:
"Trust and obey, for there's no other way..."
This is what God wants: a
trusting relationship. It's what every parent
wants, it's what every spouse wants.
Trust is the cornerstone of life.
Without it, nothing can thrive; but with it - ah, life abundant, which
is the kind of Life Jesus came to bring to us - but it requires trust and
trustworth-iness on our part.
Dear God, deepen my level of trust in YOU today. Teach me to hold YOUR hand as I walk through
each day. Amen.
