2014 “This Faith Stuff is not for sissies.”
Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom
you love, and go to the region of Moriah..." (Genesis 22: 2)
Chapter 22 of Genesis is the story of Abraham and his son
Isaac. It is the ultimate story of Faith
and Trust, and God is there all along the way.
I don't believe God would ever ask of you what he asked of
Abraham, but I do believe strongly that God will ask you to give up your own life
to follow Him; to say, "Here I am, God. I am yours. I can do this because You created me and You
love me, with a love even greater than the love I have for myself; greater and
purer and more whole, and so I trust my life into your care.
It's probably the hardest thing in the world any of us will ever
do, but it is the single most liberating, wonderful and powerful thing any of
us will ever do. Are you ready?
