MESSAGE – Special Announcements from the Los Angeles Episcopacy of the California Pacific Conference – Saturday, 11 January 2014
With over 250 RSVP's, this Sunday's Holy Conferencing location has been moved to the Sanctuary.
Bishop Carcaño will be sharing about the journey that led her to invite Rev. Frank Schaefer to the California-Pacific Annual Conference.  Rev. Frank Schaefer will be briefly sharing about his own journey of Christian leadership.
The majority of the time will be spent in intentional Holy Conferencing in small groups and as a larger group to prayerfully reflect on Biblical Obedience in the California-Pacific Annual Conference.  To focus our time together, Rev. Ed Hansen will be presenting a historical review of our Conference's journey of biblical obedience for the past several decades.  Coffee in the Fellowship Hall will follow.
Spanish translation will be provided at this event.
This gathering is solely for Cal-Pac United Methodists.  This time of Holy Conferencing will be on what we are called to do if the Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ are in conflict.  Members of the news media are referred to the Cal-Pac Office of Communications (cpco@cal-pac.org // (626) 568-7369) for information about the event.
