DAY 12 OF 40 - Better Together Through Prayer And The Word

Nehemiah 4:12-14

12 At that time the Jews who lived near them came from all directions and said to us ten times, "You must return to us." 13 So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people by their clans, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. 14 And I looked and arose and said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes."

DAY 12 – THROUGH MANY DANGERS, TOILS, SNARES…MOUNTAINS

SCRIPTURE:

The bad news continues… (Nehemiah 4:12)… Wherever you turn, they will attack us. That news makes me excited to get up every morning and face the day!! But Nehemiah steps in… (Nehemiah 4:13)… with a plan that at the exposed places or most vulnerable places of the wall he assigned people by families with their swords, lances, and bows. (The Message) 

After Nehemiah looked over the setup (Nehemiah 4:14), he said to them all, “Don’t be afraid of them. REMEMBER THE LORD, who is great and awesome.”

WHEN WE REMEMBER WHO IS FOR US, we can have victory over the trials, dangers, toils, snares…the mountains…that come against us!

LIFE APPLICATION: Just try to remember All the trials (dangers, toils, snares) mountains He’s brought you through And when HIS POWER gave you strength for the journey The very hour you needed it to.
