Sunday Night: Student Recital & Art Show!
This Sunday night, we will gather in the Westside Room at 4:30pm for a time of music and fellowship. God has blessed the youth of our congregation with many creative talents. As we celebrate the gifts God has given them, we will also have the opportunity to support them monetarily as they prepare for district teen camp and their summer mission trip to a Navajo reservation in Arizona.
All are invited to attend a reception and art show following the recital. Some pieces of art will be for sale, and all proceeds will go directly to student ministries. A love offering will also be taken during the recital.

If you will be graduating this year from high school, college, a graduate program, or any other course of study, we want to recognize you in next Sunday's service, on May 4! Please send your name, the name of institution from which you're graduating, the name of your certificate or degree, and a recent picture to Melinda in the church office (mmorgan@kcfc.org) by Wednesday, April 30!Next Week...
Sunday Night Cafe
Next Sunday night, May 4th, we will be having a special time of fellowship as we learn about God's work in the Asia-Pacific region. We will meet in the upstairs cafe area at 6:00pm for coffee, dessert, and a Q&A session with our missionary guests.If you are interested in bringing a dessert to this event, please contact Melinda Morgan (mmorgan@kcfc.org or 816.942.9022).
Military Appreciation Dinner
american-flag-wavy.jpgOn May 30th, PrimeTime ministries will be hosting a Military Appreciation dinner at 6pm. This event will feature the Watchmen Quartet. The menu will include marinated chicken, potatoes, vegetables, and dessert. Tickets are $8 per person.
If you or anyone in your family has served in any branch of our armed forces, PrimeTime would greatly appreciate having any military memorabilia to display at this event.

New Directories
In the next few weeks, you will be able to pick up a complimentary printout of First Church's directory at the welcome desks. The directory is currently being updated. If you have any additions or corrections to your home address, e-mail address, or phone number, please e-mail these changes to Linda Wilkerson in the church office (lwilkerson@kcfc.org) by THIS WEDNESDAY.
Delegates to District Assembly
If you'd like to be considered for the upcoming ballot as a possible delegate to the annual District Assembly or NMI Convention, please call Linda in the church office (816.942.9022) by May 12. Elections will be held May 25 and June 1 
Annual Quilt Fair
First Church's group of quilters will be displaying their amazing creations from the last year on May 10 from noon to 4:00pm in the Fellowship Hall! All are invited to come and see their artistry.

If you have lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend you have probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt that you feel. KC First's GriefShare group meets every Saturday at 10:00am to pray, discuss, and watch videos on relevant topics. Young Adult "Encounter"
Every Thursday night, our young adult group meets at 7:30pm in the youth room for an intentional time of prayer, fellowship, and Bible study. Contact Danny Quanstrom or Audrey Landers (alanders@kcfc.org) for more information!
Men's Prayer Breakfast
Gentlemen, before beginning your Friday each week, enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast with a group of First Church men. We meet every Friday at 6:30am in the church atrium. Every first Friday of the month, we serve a hot breakfast. Contact Chip Kraft for more information.-------
