An invitation for men....
Here at the Center for Action and Contemplation we are teaching a non-gendered path toward unitive spirituality--the goal of all true religion, union with God. But there is still an important place for work that focuses on gender. 
I have found that most men in our Western culture are missing and desperately need rites of passage to usher them into greater maturity and wholeness. (I see that need increasing for women also, and I am grateful for those, such as Paula D'Arcy, who are doing similar work with women, as I never could as a man!)
CAC has handed on the work of Men as Learners and Elders (M.A.L.Es) to Illuman. This November I will have the honor of teaching alongside Belden Lane and Adrian Scott, fellow elders, at Illuman's conference on masculine spirituality, and I hope many men will join us.

I will be speaking to women who are accompanying men to the conference in an informal session Saturday afternoon (no registration needed). Men who have completed a Men's Rites of Passage (MROP) are also invited to Soularize preceding the conference, November 5-7, 2014.
