Welcome to Groundswell. We're inspiring people to use faith as a force for good.
Saturday, 12 July 2014 –
When most people hear 'religion' they don't think of justice, equality, and progress. That’s why we’re here—to show the world that it can be, and is, a force for good.
Your name was recently added to our email list – maybe you joined a campaign for justice started by an awesome faith leader, or you found a fun, meaningful, and faithful video or meme on our site.
We're Groundswell – a growing online multifaith community for social change, and we'd really love for you to be a part of it. If you’d prefer to not receive emails from us, just reply to this email and we'll remove you.
But if you're a person of faith, spiritual, seeking, or secular, and care about creating change, this might be the start of something special.
If you're still with me, can I tell you a little bit about us?
Our tagline is "Inspiring faithful action to heal and repair the world." We do that in 3 ways.
First, we've created a watering hole for multifaith movements for justice to gather and get the most irresistible faith and justice content. Here are 3 of our favorite examples:
A church figured out how to solve our economic crisis
A rabbi explains the simple reason we've failed to end gun violence
Sikh Captain America hits the streets of NYC in tights, cape, and a turban
We think this is the new face of religion – inspired people having fun and changing the world. Click here for more fun, faithful, visual, and meaningful content from around the internet.
Second, we also run an online platform where YOU can be a change-maker by starting your own petition.
If you have an idea to make your community, your school, your local playground, church, synagogue, religion, or your planet a better place – here's the toolset to help you do it.
Click here to check out the site and the many inspiring faith-powered campaigns for change.
Third, we offer transformative trainings in story-telling for social change, organizing in a modern age, and speaking prophetically in the media.
However you're called to heal the world – ending gun violence or child poverty, fighting for immigration reform or our social safety net – we help train leaders to take their change-making from point A to point Awesome.
Click here to email us about our trainings.
Being on our email list means you'll get about 1 email a week with opportunities to take action on urgent campaigns, as well as digests of the best faithful stuff we've found on the Internet. We hope you'll stay with us and be a part of the groundswell.
Power to you and to us together,
Isaac
