Pastor's Summer Series
Finishing Wednesday, August  27Pastor Scott Daniels will conclude a new teaching series, Postmodernity, Millennials, Technology, and the Gospel, on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm in Lee Chapel on August 27. Pasadena PrimeTime Events
Christmas in AugustDon't miss this event on Thursday, August 28, at 6:00 pm in Gilmore Hall where you will enjoy a delicious dinner, a white elephant gift exchange, and an evening of inspiration. Special guests Henry and Marcia Yu will share about their multi-cultural celebration of Christmas and there will be a presentation from the PazNaz Children's Choir. Annual Fall Trip
 
If you are age 55 or better, you won't want to miss the PrimeTime Fall Trip to St. Louis & Branson, Missouri on November 4-11. The cost is $1,500 for a double occupancy room, with single occupancy rooms also available. There are only 3 spots left. Your full payment is due Tuesday, September 2. Can-Do Kids Club
Volunteers Needed
If you would like to help reach out to students at Field Elementary school by volunteering to tutor in the afternoons, please contact Steve Wiebe at 626.584.1891. Women's Ministries
Leadership Training
All women participating in Women's Ministry leadership roles are invited to attend the 2014 Kick-Off & Training Event. September Birthday Brunch 
Birthday Brunches are back! Each month Women's Ministries wants to celebrate birthdays with a special brunch hosted at Pastor Scott and Debbie Daniels' home. Ladies, if your birthday is in September, join the group on Saturday, September 20, from 10:30 am - Noon and dress for the outdoors. Women in the Word
Women in the Word is a Tuesday morning weekly Bible study at 9:30 am in Gilmore Hall with over 100 ladies working through different themes. MOPS
 Mothers of Preschoolers at PazNaz provides moms with a hot meal, relevant teaching, support, companionship, and fun crafts as their "moppets" (children from birth through kindergarten) enjoy their own activities in a loving environment. This year's theme is Be You Bravely. It will be held on alternating Fridays, beginning September 19, at 9:15 am in Gilmore Hall. W is for Wednesdays

Women's Ministries: Girlfriend to Girlfriend
Girlfriend to Girlfriend is a book study led by Debbie Daniels and a great place to connect with other women. This fall's topic is Soul Keeping: Caring For the Most Important Part of You by John Ortberg. The health of your soul is the difference between deep, satisfied spirituality and a restless, dispassionate faith. Come rediscover your soul and find your way out of the spiritual shallow-lands to true divine depth. Books will be available the first day of class. There is a $20 fee for materials. Scholarships are available. Come rediscover your soul!

Men's Ministries: Seven Questions
There are seven questions that often rattle in the minds of most men. Things like "Why am I here," "Where am I going," and "Who can I trust?" Plan on being a part of the conversation in the series Seven Questionson Wednesday evenings.

Children ages 3-Kindergarten will love the vivid illustrations, animated teachings, and activities that bring to life Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. They'll learn every story in the Bible points to Jesus - and what that means for them!

Don't Have A C.O.W. - 6:30 pm in Room 102, Lower Sanctuary
C.O.W. (Creating On Wednesdays) is back! Children in grades 1-6 will learn about the Bible as each familiar story takes a totally unexpected- and absolutely wrong- twist. "Hey, That's Not What the Bible Says" includes stories, games, and creating.

Student Ministries
Beyond the Flannelgraph - Jr. and Sr. High students are invited to take a closer look at familiar Bible characters. Perhaps there are more to stories like Noah's Ark and David and Goliath than you thought? All students in 7th-12th grade are welcome to this exciting time of Bible Study, engaging worship, fun games, and friendship building.

Oasis Adult Ministry
Oasis provides a place for teens and adults who have special needs to find community and connection while learning to live more like Jesus. This fall, Oasis will be studying the life of the minor prophets and spending time in worship.

Worship and Celebration Arts
The primary purpose of Worship and Celebration Arts is to lift high the name of Jesus and to glorify God through the gifts he has given you. You are needed! Positive Parenting
This seven session class offers you tools that demonstrate mutual respect, empowering not enabling, and discovering the belief behind the behavior. The cost is $35 per family. Free children's program with registration. Children with special needs are always welcome.

Kid's Night Out
Coming Saturday, September 13

The next event will be Saturday, September 13, from 5:00 - 10:00 pm in the Upper floor of Arms Hall. The cost is $17 per child with a max of $34 per family. Alabaster Sunday Offering
Sunday, September 14
Please prayerfully consider a special offering to help missions on September 14. This offering goes toward building churches, medical facilities, and schools in the mission field. Alabaster Offering boxes are a good way to collect change for this special offering and are available at the Missions' kiosk in the Sanctuary foyer.

Men's Ministries

Healing Rooms
Returning September 6The Healing Rooms will return Saturday, September 6, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm for a time of prayer. Teams of 2 or 3 volunteers will pray with people for healing or any other personal needs. The Healing Rooms will be located in Room 112, Lower Sanctuary. If you can't make it that week, the Healing Rooms will be available every first and third Saturday of the month starting in September.
