The L'Arche Canada Foundation in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada with Jean Vanier's Daily Thoughts for Monday, 3 October 2016 "Waiting"
When I am waiting for someone who is late, I get irritable. I hate wasting time. My inner motor keeps running, but it doesn't get anywhere. My energy is revving up but is not directed. I get worse on a journey! I still have a lot to learn about using these apparently wasted moments to relax and to rest.[Jean Vanier, Community and Growth, page 191]

"New Start"
Each one of us with our bodies, our hearts, our minds, is beautiful. Each one of us has our own cycle of growth which brings with it ups and downs, summer and winters, good times and bad times; setbacks and times of drought are part of life. They are phases we have to go through, and a new start is always possible.[Jean Vanier, Seeing Beyond Depression, page 41
