FINDING JOY IN JOYLESS CIRCUMSTANCES...

The holidays are coming! For some of us that sentiment fills us with stress of the demands, the cost and the expectation of making the season magical. All of these can add up to suck the joy right out of us. But that’s not the story God is calling us to. There is a better way, not just to survive this time of year, but to thrive in it! Join us as we invite God to lead the way as we walk through the holiday season and to help us “know joy” along the way.

On Sunday Night, November 26 from 6-7pm we're going to celebrate the days leading up to Christmas in preparation for what is commonly called the “Advent Season” with Torrey Pines Church. We will sing Christmas carols, hang live evergreen wreaths in the sanctuary, and turn our anticipation and attention towards Christmas.
It will be a fun hour for the whole family and a great way to officially kick off the Christmas season.
Potluck of finger foods and desserts will follow after the caroling and wreath hanging service. So bring a munchie to share and come celebrate with us!

If you're part of our San Diego senior community, then Wednesday, November 15th at 11:30am in the CanyonView Room is for you. Please join us as Bridget Barnett, a retired SD police officer who sepcialies on elder abuse, will talk with us about various security issues for seniors.
Bring your favorite...appetizer, main dish, salad or dessert and feel free to invite a friend or two as well.
