"Lend"
If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD--
and he will repay you!
(Proverbs 19:17)
What does it mean to lend to the Lord?
How do we give the gift of dignity as we help people?

"Wisdom from Above" goTandem
"Wisdom from Above"
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. (James 3:17)
Does anything about this definition surprise you? What?

"An Example" goTandem
"An Example"

"Then a despised Samaritan came along, and when he saw the man, he felt compassion for him. Going over to him, the Samaritan soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his own donkey and took him to an inn, where he took care of him. The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, 'Take care of this man. If his bill runs higher than this, I'll pay you the next time I'm here.'" (Luke 10:33-35)
Culturally, the Samaritan and the wounded man were close to mortal enemies. Why would the Samaritan do this?
Is there anyone in your life you would never have compassion on? Why?
