To live from Christ is to allow the life of His Spirit in you to be expressed through you. It is to live from the teachings of Christ that are laid out for us in the gospels. It is to live out our lives from where Christ sits on the throne of our heart. Living from this Christ center is “the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). In living our lives, we live out and work out what Christ lives and works in us (Philippians 2:12-13). Writer J.D. Walt points out that living from Christ is very different than living for Christ. Living from Christ is the secret of the Christian life.
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your resident Presence in our lives. Teach us by Your Spirit moment by moment how we can live our life from Your life. Amen!

Some said that its day was over for this old matriarch of trees. Look further. Within a mile of mamma oak, there were hundreds of descendants, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, that were conceived by her acorns. Hundreds of animals and birds owed their life directly or indirectly to her. May the acorns of our testimony and the seeds of Christlike living bring the fruit of life for generations to come.
