Faith in Motion We, Gateway, have the privilege of supporting foster youth who are graduating from high school. We need 50 people to purchase, sign and write an encouraging note in a graduation card. If you are able, include a $25.00 gift card to Walmart or Target. Ray and Donna Ellis and John and Sharon Harrison will be collecting the unsealed cards, or you can leave them in a basket in the church office. We need to have them by Sunday, May 20th. Thank you for your generosity in supporting Faith in Motion.

These 2 new programs were started today 5/11. Your church staff needs some help which you can volunteer for AND If you have some items for the Bulletin Board you can start today to email these items to me. Let’s see how these new ideas work out.
INDEPENDENCE DAY CHURCH IN THE PARK— Save the date. Once again, we will have Church in the Park on Sunday, July 1st. Plan now to attend this day of worship together and stay for a picnic afterwards. Last year we had a great turnout and we enjoyed it so much, we decided to do it again! Rehearsal for our Independence Day Choir will begin on Thursday, May 31 from 6:30—8:30 pm. The Choir will practice on Thursdays in June. Save the date!
ALL CHURCH WORK DAY Saturday, May 19th 8:00 am to 12:00 noon We have a job for everyone! For more information contact Lee Beaty or Dave Wendling. Please help!
TICKETS FOR THE STORM GAME - Friday, June 25th will be on sale today and next Sunday. You can get tickets at the Welcome Center or by the Coffee House. Price for the tickets are $9.00 each. It’s a good family time together with the Church family. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Roger.
VBS is coming soon! We do need helpers in all areas.
This year's theme is "Shipwrecked: Saved by Jesus"

Dean Shaw’s viewing will be from 11AM to 12 AM, with graveside service and burial following immediately afterwards on Monday, May 14th at Rose Hills in Whittier.
Sondra is planning a celebration of life service in about two weeks here at Gateway.

Gateway Help Wanted
- Painting a. Spray Paint our security cage for the Basketball Court – 1 hour b. Paint 2 Picnic Tables – we will supply the paint – 4 hours
- Run alarm wires from the Sanctuary to the FBI classroom – overhead in the drop-down ceiling. Involves ladder work. - 4 hours
- Need help moving inactive supplies from the front office to the portables -2 hours
- Anybody have some experience with commercial security cameras – need some help!
- Need a technically competent person to move some wiring around in the Computer Room. 1-2 hours.
- All-Church-Workday. Saturday May 19th – 8 AM to Noon - Please Contact Lee Beaty or Dave Wendling for details or information.
