"Spirit of Christ (3)" by Pastor H. Lamar Smith
The Spirit of Christ in us is our hope of present and final resurrection. Our immortality is conditioned on this. Immortality is not automatic, as is often assumed. It is the gift of the resurrected Christ. It is tied inseparably to our relationship with our Lord and His indwelling Spirit. The Breath of God in us is our only hope, after our death, of ever breathing again. The Spirit, who gave breath back to Jesus, will give breath to all those in-dwelt by Christ on that Great Resurrection Morning.
“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.” Romans 8:11 (NRSV)
