As I was doing some reading today I came across a quote from Mother Teresa and wanted to share it with you all.
“Love to pray. Feel often doing the day the need for prayer, and take trouble to pray. Prayer enlarges the heart until it is capable of containing God’s gift of himself. Ask and seek, and you heart will grow big enough to receive him and keep him as your own.” (A Gift for God by Mother Teresa)
I needed these words today. What a beautiful reminder about the importance of prayer. I admit that sometimes setting aside quite time to pray seems like a lot of work, but I love how she phrases it, “take trouble to pray.” Prayer is worth the effort, it is worth the trouble, it is worth the relationship, it is essential.This was a good word for me today and I couldn’t help but share it.
