Mount Carmel Church of the Nazarene in San Diego, California, United States for Sunday, 5 August 2018 "Our God is Holy" Psalm 99.

Mount Carmel Church of the Nazarene in San Diego, California, United States for Sunday, 5 August 2018 "Our God is Holy" Psalm 99.
Psalm 99:1 Adonai is king; let the peoples tremble.
He sits enthroned on the k’ruvim; let the earth shake!
2 Adonai is great in Tziyon;
he is high above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise your great and fearsome name (he is holy):
4 “Mighty king who loves justice, you established
fairness, justice and righteousness in Ya‘akov.”
5 Exalt Adonai our God!
Prostrate yourselves at his footstool (he is holy).
6 Moshe and Aharon among his cohanim
and Sh’mu’el among those who call on his name
called on Adonai, and he answered them.
7 He spoke to them in the column of cloud;
they kept his instructions and the law that he gave them.
8 Adonai our God, you answered them.
To them you were a forgiving God,
although you took vengeance on their wrongdoings.
9 Exalt Adonai our God,
bow down toward his holy mountain,
for Adonai our God is holy! (Complete Jewish Bible).

Holiness is not an "Aha" moment in thed Church of the Nazarene because we teach anc preach holiness all the time.
Most Psalms have a different flow from this Psalms 99.
We sre made holy in His Holiness.
Yahweh's Glory is His Holiness.
Three things within Jewishness:
1. Uncleanness.
2. The Common.
3. God's Holy Times.
Look at God's people being delivered from Egypt.
God gives the people rules through Moses to live in God's Holiness.
Isaiah, prophet of God, given vision of God's Holiness.
The holiness of God reveals all things and brings our sin to the surface.
On date nights we place our best foot forward. Then life in marriage reveals hidden faults. Forgiveness contines in conversation with each other.
When we come in contact with a Holy God, all things are revealed. Then comes confession and repentance.
We need to learn to live in Grace, not Legalism.
Holiness of God comes in contacts wit us and we are changed & transformed.
That which we fear the most, we need the most.
We are tested to see if we are able to share even if we give up everything.
Just as our emotions are tied to people in our lives just as they are even more tied to God & Jesus.
John 1:6 There was a man sent from God whose name was Yochanan. 7 He came to be a testimony, to bear witness concerning the light; so that through him, everyone might put his trust in God and be faithful to him. 8 He himself was not that light; no, he came to bear witness concerning the light.
9 This was the true light,
which gives light to everyone entering the world.
10 He was in the world — the world came to be through him —
yet the world did not know him.
11 He came to his own homeland,
yet his own people did not receive him.
12 But to as many as did receive him, to those who put their trust in his person and power, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 not because of bloodline, physical impulse or human intention, but because of God.

14 The Word became a human being and lived with us,
and we saw his Sh’khinah,
the Sh’khinah of the Father’s only Son,
full of grace and truth.
 (Complete Jewish Bible).
God knows all about us, yet God loves us fully.
Jesus comes to us to be in relationship with us.
God calls us to not only live in relationship with Him, but with other people even the people who marginalized like the people with impairments .
We stand completely exposed before the judgment of a holy God, only to look up at our judge and see in His face the Grace and Truth of Jesus.
God is much more forgiving and loving than anybody else.
Prayer. The Partaking of The Eucharist. Worship in Music. Prayer & Benediction sending us off in better relationship with God and all other people.
