risen, conqu'ring Son;
endless is the vict'ry
thou o'er death hast won!
Angels in bright raiment
rolled the stone away,
kept the folded grave-clothes
where thy body lay. Refrain:

2. Lo, Jesus meets thee,
risen from the tomb!
Lovingly he greets thee,
scatters fear and gloom;
let his church with gladness
hymns of triumph sing,
for the Lord now liveth;

3. No more we doubt thee,
glorious Prince of life;

The scripture readings for this week have touched upon the fear we all have about what the future will bring--the fear of failure, the fear of rejection, the fear of not being loved. All our fears may come true if we do not live in hope and faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and encourage each other with the words of God's promise. Unceasing faith in the resurrection gives me hope and fills my heart with joy. Life may not always be just what I expect, but I know the love of Jesus will sustain me, for he has conquered death and given us all the incredible gift of grace.
Lord, I may not always have the right words or do everything perfectly, but I believe you are always with me and you take away my fear and gloom. You give me hope, and in my faith, you restore my life. Amen.
