Youth Mission Trip
Our teens will depart tomorrow, July 19, for Dilkon, Arizona. They will be partnering with the Navajo Christian Foundation to host a Vacation Bible School, and help with renovations. They will return on July 27. Please be in prayer for our young people during this time.This Sunday, there will be prayer cards with the names of the participants available to you at both greeter's desks.
Next week...
Blessing Bags
Over the next few weeks, culminating on July 27, our upcoming Compassion Sunday, we will be collecting items for Blessing Bags. These bags can be placed in your car for moments when you encounter someone in need in our community. Please bring the following items to the mission display in the sanctuary foyer, and we will store them for the packing night on July 27. Leftover items will be given to another great cause--Crisis Care Kits that our church has been a part of assembling over the last year. Girls Night Out!
Parents, mark your calendars for these fun events coming soon!
July 24: Girls' Night Out! We will meet in the Children's Chapel at 6:30pm for a Rainbow Loom party! If you know how to make rainbow loom bracelets and already have supplies, bring them! If you don't know how to make them, or don't have supplies, come anyway! We can make some to keep and some to send to children in Haiti!

All-Church Picnic
Mark your calendars for an end of summer picnic on August 23 at 6:00pm in the gym! All are invited to join in this time of fellowship together, sponsored by PrimeTime ministries. During this event, we will be recognizing all educators in our congregation. Tickets are $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free. More information to come!Kansas City District Assembly
The Kansas City District Assembly & Conventions for 2014 will take place on August 5-7. Plan now to be a part of these special events and services with other Nazarenes from the Kansas City area! During the summer, the First Church gymnasium will be open on Tuesday mornings from 10:00am-12:00pm for a time of unstructured fun and fellowship for kids and their parents! Parents are encouraged to bring snacks if they want them, and to stay around to supervise their children. Contact Margie for more information (mschwarz@kcfc.org)!

GriefShare
If you have lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend you have probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt that you feel. KC First's GriefShare group meets on Saturdays at 10:00am to pray, discuss, and watch videos on relevant topics.

Young Adult "Encounter"

Men's Prayer Breakfast
Gentlemen, before beginning your Friday each week, enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast with a group of First Church men. We meet every Friday at 6:30am in the church atrium. Every first Friday of the month, we serve a hot breakfast. Contact Chip Kraft for more information.
