May 4, 2015 — Hello Everyone,
I am reaching out again to get your support for another girl who is being denied access to pursue her dream of playing football simply because she is female. Fourteen year-old Caroline Pla, has been battling with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia CYO league to allow girls to play football. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia CYO league receives federal funding and is therefore subject to Title IX legislation, however they have a strict rule in place that forbids girls from playing football. Additionally, I have started a company called, Gridiron Queendom (www.gridironqueendom.com), to support women and girls around the world who want to play football. Gridiron Queendom has been selected to participate in the Women Who Tech startup challenge and we are striving hard to raise funds so we can continue to support girls like Caroline.
