Reflecting God - Embrace Holy Living from The Global Church of the Nazarene of Lenexa, Kansas, United States for Saturday, 16 May 2015 - "Giving The Best Gift" Scripture: Ephesians 3:14-21

Reflecting God - Embrace Holy Living from The Global Church of the Nazarene of Lenexa, Kansas, United States for Saturday, 16 May 2015 - "Giving The Best Gift" Scripture: Ephesians 3:14 For this reason, I fall on my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth receives its character. 16 I pray that from the treasures of his glory he will empower you with inner strength by his Spirit, 17 so that the Messiah may live in your hearts through your trusting. Also I pray that you will be rooted and founded in love, 18 so that you, with all God’s people, will be given strength to grasp the breadth, length, height and depth of the Messiah’s love, 19 yes, to know it, even though it is beyond all knowing, so that you will be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who by his power working in us is able to do far beyond anything we can ask or imagine, 21 to him be glory in the Messianic Community and in the Messiah Yeshua from generation to generation forever. Amen.

"Giving The Best Gift" by Author: Juanita Weir Nobles
What is the best gift you ever received? When I was in seminary and we had little money, we made our Christmas and birthday gifts. Perhaps it was a hand-sewn garment or a home-baked treat. Sometimes the gift was time—a promise to clean out a closet or to do a household chore; simple gifts to show our love without an outlay of money. We tried to teach our children to give willingly of themselves to help somebody else.
In Ephesians 3:16, Paul reminds us of the greatest gift Jesus offers us–to know for sure that we belong to Him. Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3 was not only for that church, but for all believers, and that includes us!
Jesus willingly gave Himself. Paul wanted all Christians to realize the love of Christ and to live it abundantly. God is able to do much more than we can even ask or think, and He willingly works through us if we allow Him to do so. We can be filled with all His fullness. All we need do is accept his wonderful gift.
Hymn for Today: "His Name is Wonderful" by
 Audrey Mieir
1. His name is Wonderful, His name is Wonderful,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus my Lord;
He is the mighty King, master of everything,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.
2. He's the great Shepherd, the Rock of all ages,
Almighty God is He;
Bow down before Him, love and adore Him,
His name is Wonderful, Jesus, my Lord.
