Tell our Bishops to work with us to build a church for our daughters

As people of faith, let's make the Catholic church a truly inclusive place for the next generation of girls.
Just a few weeks ago my doctor gave me the exciting news - I am pregnant with a baby girl.
It didn't take long to go from that exciting news to thinking about "Could I actually raise my daughter Catholic? A religious tradition that refuses to recognize that she is created in God's image and equally? How can I tell her she can be anything she wants to be when she grows up if it's not true in our religion?"
That's why I signed the Church for Daughters petition, calling of the United States Catholic Bishops and our church leaders to work with us to build a Church that strikes down every oppressive practice, teaching, and law that assigns women and girls to a subordinate status.
You don't need to have a daughter or granddaughter to sign it. All that's required for signing is your desire tomake the Roman Catholic Church a truly inclusive place for the next generation of girls.
Dozens of church-justice sponsored organizations have joined together to make a commitment to building a better church for the next generation of girls. They will be delivering our petition to the Bishops on June 14th during the Bishops' bi-annual meeting. I will be there, too.
Will you help us spread the word by signing this important petition and sharing it with your friends?
Together, we will work tirelessly until all girls in Catholic Church know "radical inclusion and justice, equality without qualification."
